Enjoy the best! Premium Balsamic Vinegars make all the difference, whether in a reduction sauce, salad dressing, or pairing with EVOO and a handfull of herbs for a fine condiment for chunks of fresh crusty bread!
First created almost a thousand years ago, balsamic vinegar is prized throughout the world and considered a gourmet vinegar. To make it, the juice of selected grapes is simmered in copper pot until it is reduced to 40% of its original weight. The resulting must is aged in a succession of small wooden barrels, often in a combination of oak, cherry, mulberry, chestnut and/or juniper wood barrels, producing a complex and rich balance of sweet and sour flavors.
After spending many enjoyable weeks wandering through the vineyards and olive groves of scenic Napa and Sonoma Valleys, tasting endless varieties of oils and vinegars, we are excited to be able to bring some of our favorites to your home. Each unique presentation is filled to the brim with exquisite flavors creating tasteful gourmet gifts for yourself or for giving.
How to use your new Balsamic Vinegar
Balsamic's sweet-tart flavor enhances most dishes. Combine our California extra virgin olive oil and our aged balsamic vinegar to make an outstanding dipping oil or vinaigrette. Use it in marinades, and blend a small amount with other vinegars to add complexity to vinaigrettes. Sprinkle on grilled or roasted vegetables right after cooking. Excellent in a reduction sauce for grilled or roasted meats.
